Published November 20, 2014

Associated Press

A man who was struck by lightning last weekend at an Arizona golf course has died.

Tucson police said Tuesday that the man died at University Medical Center. He was taken to the hospital Saturday after being hit by lightning while golfing at Fred Enke Golf Course.

The man's name wasn't immediately released, but police say he was in his 40s.

Police say the man was on the driving range when he was struck. The Arizona Daily Star reports that another golfer who was about 50 feet away was treated for minor injuries after being shocked during the lightning strike.
