Police Evacuate Massachusetts Mall After Reports of Gunman Inside

BURLINGTON, Mass. -- Police are evacuating a mall near Boston after an unconfirmed report of a man with a rifle. There have been no reports of any shots fired.
State police spokesman David Procopio says a man was seen Monday with a rifle inside the Nordstrom's department store at the Burlington Mall. He says state and local police are searching the mall and evacuating customers and store workers.
Police have set up a perimeter around the mall, an upscale shopping center north of Boston with more than 185 stores.
State police say they are searching mall property and surrounding areas, including grounds near a hospital, the Lahey Clinic.
The man was described as a short white male with a gray shirt and a backpack, and carrying what appeared to be a rifle.
