Police: 3 die in shooting at Phoenix park as groups exchange gunfire after reported argument

Published May 03, 2016

Associated Press

Authorities say a shooting at a Phoenix park left three men dead, including two brothers.

Police Sgt. Trent Crump said Wednesday that groups of people exchanged gunfire at the west Phoenix park on Tuesday night.

Witnesses reported it apparently stemmed from an argument between the groups in the parking lot and they saw at least two vehicles flee the scene.

Officers responded to a report of gunshots shortly before 10 p.m. Tuesday and found three men who were shot. One died at the scene, and two others were rushed to a hospital, where they died.

One man was initially listed in critical condition.

No further information was released.
