Police: 2 guns in Miss shooting that killed 2, wounded 4

Published February 08, 2016

Associated Press

Police say two guns were used in a shooting that killed two men and injured four people after a Mardi Gras parade in Mississippi.

But Pass Christian (kris-TYANH) Police Chief Tim Hendricks says investigators don't know whether one or two people shot those guns.

During a news conference Monday broadcast live by WLOX-TV, Hendricks said two of the wounded remain hospitalized. One was hit in a knee; the other in a leg.

He says investigators have a flood of information about Sunday night's shooting and are working to sort fact from rumor. They're also asking for anyone with any information to come forward.

Pass Christian is on the Gulf Coast about 45 miles east of New Orleans.
