Pasadena police arrest 7 for allegedly attempting to interfere with Rose Parade

Police in Southern California say seven people have been arrested and accused of attempting to interfere with the Rose Parade.

Pasadena police Lt. Marie Sell tells City News Service that two groups of people were taken into custody Thursday along Colorado Boulevard early in the parade.

One group was at the starting line and the other a little further east.

Sell could not immediately describe exactly what the people were doing to interfere.

KNBC-TV reports four people involved were protesters and carried signs in remembrance of Ezell Ford, a 25-year-old black man who was fatally shot by a Los Angeles Police Department officer in August.

Sell says six people were still in custody as of 2:20 p.m. and will be cited before being released.
