Pa. charges planned after infant skeletons found

A coroner says a Pennsylvania woman found with infant skeletal remains in her home will be charged with several counts of homicide.

Berks County Coroner Dennis Hess says officials believe the remains come from five of Michele Kalina's pregnancies. He says it's not yet clear how many of those pregnancies led to live births.

Officials say they found remains over the summer in a concrete block in the closet of Kalina's apartment in Reading (RED'-ing) and in a cooler.

The 44-year-old Kalina has been in custody for several months on abuse-of-corpse charges. It isn't immediately clear whether she has a lawyer.
