Ohio woman charged with dragging man with car

Published November 20, 2014

Associated Press

A southwestern Ohio woman has pleaded not guilty to dragging a man with her car for three-quarters of a mile and running over his ankle.

Thirty-one-year-old Brandi Lynn Stuntebeck of Colerain was being held on a $10,000 bond Monday stemming from her arrest Saturday on a felonious assault charge.

Sgt. Jennifer Sharp of Colerain Township police says that Stuntebeck fled after accidentally hitting the back of another car driven by 53-year-old Donald Brownlee of Cincinnati.

Brownlee chased after Stuntebeck in his car before she pulled over. Sharp says Brownlee was leaning into the passenger window of Stuntebeck's car when she suddenly sped off, dragging him for about three-quarters of a mile before he fell and the car ran over his ankle.

Brownlee had minor injuries.
