Officials try to find cause of death for 5-year-old Arizona boy who went missing from campsite

Investigators are trying to determine how a 5-year-old Arizona boy died after he vanished from a campsite north of the Grand Canyon and triggered a massive search.

A body believed to be that of Jerold Joseph Williams is going to be sent to a medical examiner's office Wednesday so investigators can check dental records and fingerprints for a definitive identification.

The body was discovered Monday after several hundred searchers spent five days looking for the Colorado City boy in rugged terrain. He had wandered off from a campsite Thursday in the Kaibab National Forest while chasing grasshoppers.

He was with a group of about 20 people when he vanished.

The search included military helicopters equipped with night-vision equipment, ground crews with dogs and ATVs, and numerous volunteers from Jerald's hometown.
