The estranged wife of a slain Jacksonville Navy commander, her boyfriend and that man's best friend were ordered held without bail Wednesday in the February killing.

Yolinda Hunter Doss, 44, Anthony Delane Washington, 29, and Ronnie Randolph Wilson II, 33, were arrested Monday and Tuesday and charged with second-degree murder and assault and battery during a burglary in the death of Alphonso Doss, 44.

Police said the victim was strangled in his Orange Park motel room in a staged burglary masterminded by his wife in a failed effort to collect life-insurance money.

The trio said nothing as they appeared Wednesday before Clay County Judge Richard Townsend via a video feed from the Clay County jail.

They are set to return to court Sept. 3.
