Former NFL player Joe Orduna was charged Tuesday with two misdemeanors of child annoyance in Orange County, Calif.

Orduna, a 63-year-old biology teacher at Godinez High School, was arrested Tuesday morning at his home, NBC Los Angeles reported.

He is accused of making inappropriate conduct and sexually suggestive comments two female students, both aged 16, between April and June of last year.

"He basically was talking about his sex life and kissed one girl on the lips," said Cpl. Anthony Bertagna with Santa Ana police. "The second victim was also on campus and he groped her on the backside."

Orduna was being held on $25,000 bail and is facing up to two years in jail if convicted.

A running back, Orduna starred at the University of Nebraska before going on to play for the New York Giants and Baltimore Colts in the 1970s.
