Founders Brewing Breakfast Stout is photographed in North Andover, Mass., Thursday, Jan. 15, 2015. Babies and bottles normally get along just fine, unless a picture of that baby happens to be plastered to the front of a bottle of beer being sold in New Hampshire. Currently, that bottle of Breakfast Stout crafted by Founders Brewery Co. in Grand Rapids, Mich., is illegal in the Granite State but legislation proposed this year would permit brewers to peddle their ales, stouts, porters and lagers even if the label shows images of minors. A brewery's beer featuring a baby on the label now has official approval in Michigan.

The Grand Rapids Press reports the Breakfast Stout label was pulled in August and replaced with an empty chair and a note that the oatmeal-slurping child had "left the crib for a bit."

The change was made after a Michigan Liquor Control Commission investigator discovered the label wasn't registered with the state despite the beer having been sold on shelves for about a decade. It's made by Grand Rapids-based Founders Brewery Co.

The newspaper says the brewery was fined $300 and removed all bottles of Breakfast Stout from its taproom, but they weren't pulled from store shelves. Founders now has the OK from the state. The label and bottles made a comeback in December.
