A Tennessee man who police say illegally climbed the Brooklyn Bridge and took a selfie while perched on a railing has been arrested.

WRCB-TV reports (http://bit.ly/1HTFHq2) that 21-year-old David Karnauch of Chattanooga was arrested Sunday by the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office on a warrant from the New York Police Department. The charge is reckless endangerment, and he is being held in Tennessee without bond as a fugitive from New York.

The selfie from the July incident made national headlines. New York Police say Karnauch acted in an "irresponsible" and "illegal" manner.

Karnauch told CBS New York (http://cbsloc.al/1RS4CAr) that nobody tried to stop him from climbing the bridge and that he didn't know it was forbidden.
