Ky. authorities close to revealing details of whiskey theft in world's bourbon-making hub

Kentucky authorities appear close to revealing details about a possible theft ring accused of siphoning bourbon from at least two whiskey makers.

Franklin County Commonwealth's Attorney Larry Cleveland says his office plans to present the case to a grand jury in Frankfort, Kentucky, on Tuesday.

The prosecutor said Friday he expects multiple indictments in the whodunit mystery in the world's bourbon-making hub.

Cleveland says the volume of stolen whiskey is more than anyone could drink in a lifetime.

So far, one person has been arrested after authorities recovered a handful of heavy barrels of Wild Turkey bourbon taken from a Kentucky warehouse.

Authorities won't say whether the Wild Turkey heist is connected with the theft of pricey Pappy Van Winkle bourbon and rye whiskey two years ago.
