Investigator testifies about 2005 NJ crash

Jurors at the trial of two former executives of a charter jet service whose clients included celebrities such as Jay-Z, Diddy and Bon Jovi, are hearing details about the 2005 crash of one of the company's planes at New Jersey's Teterboro Airport.

William English, the lead investigator in the National Transportation Safety Board's accident probe, took the stand Monday afternoon as a prosecution witness.

Two co-founders of Florida-based Platinum Jet Management are charged with running illegal and unsafe charters.

One of the now-defunct company's jets crashed on takeoff at Teterboro Airport in February 2005 and slammed into a warehouse, injuring 20 people.

Federal prosecutors say the investigation into the crash uncovered a conspiracy by Platinum to skirt safety regulations.
