Hypothermia suspected in death of man whose naked body was found on Minnesota golf course

Published May 03, 2016

Associated Press

Authorities believe exposure to the chilly weather killed a man whose naked body was found on a golf course near his home in northwestern Minnesota.

Polk County authorities were called to the Sandhill River Golf Course in Fertile about 4:10 p.m. Monday and found the body of 35-year-old Andrew Springer.

The sheriff's office says preliminary autopsy results show no signs of foul play and that Spring apparently died of hypothermia.

Deputy Sheriff Brian Lundeen tells the Star Tribune (http://strib.mn/1NBaKLj ) Springer recently moved to Fertile, about 30 miles southeast of Crookston, from Washington state and lived less than two blocks from the course.
