Everybody needs to unwind. Maybe you hit a local bar or restaurant and have a drink or two. Perhaps you eat some food. Watch a game. Catch a live music performance.

For Bar Rescue host Jon Taffer, you might imagine that a night at a bar is more than just fun. He's always on, always working. Entrepreneurs should be, too, according to Taffer.

In the short video above, I asked the service-industry expert what business owners should or shouldn't do when entertaining clients at bars and restaurants. Instead, Taffer explained that going to your local pub or steakhouse can -- and should -- be opportunities for entrepreneurs, especially those with local businesses, to better know their customers.

"Being an entrepreneur is about connecting with society, more than anything" Taffer says. "When an entrepreneur connects with the marketplace, he can develop his products better, develop his services better and make more money."

For more on how you can connect with your market at a local bar, check out this video with Taffer.
