A funeral has been held for teen sisters who were shot by their retired police officer father last weekend before he turned the gun on himself.
A great-uncle of Alissa and Deanna Hochman said Friday outside their funeral in Harrison that they "were touched by God."
Emil Giliotti added that the girls had great smiles and didn't deserve what happened to them.
The Journal News reports that bells chimed as the teens' mother and older sister arrived in a motorcade led by an ambulance. Firefighters and other first responders crowded the street.
Eighteen-year-old Alissa volunteered with the Harrison ambulance corps. She was a high school senior.
Thirteen-year-old Deanna attended the Windward School in White Plains.
Alissa and Deanna were found dead inside their family home on Saturday, according to the newspaper. Authorities said the two were shot by their father, identified as 52-year-old Glen Hochman, while they slept. The retired White Plains police officer also killed three family dogs before killing himself.
Hochman left behind a lengthy suicide note but authorities have not yet commented on the motive.
It's unclear when or where Hochman will be buried.
