A ground-stop for flights in and out of Los Angeles International Airport has been fully lifted after one hour.

An LAX statement says the interruption Thursday morning was caused by an equipment outage.

The ground-stop began at 8 a.m. Departures resumed at 8 a.m. and the ground-stop order was lifted at 9 a.m.

Flight delays are expected to continue until airlines catch up on their schedules.

LAX spokeswoman Mary Grady tells City News Service the problem involved software at the Federal Aviation Administration's Southern California Approach Control facility in San Diego, and only affected Los Angeles International.
