DNA testing sought after two headstones found for same woman at Kentucky cemetery

Published January 13, 2015

Associated Press

A family who buried a woman at a Paris cemetery is now confused about where her body is interred because there are two headstones for her.

WLEX-TV in Lexington reported Angel Myers died six months ago and her body was buried at Evergreen Memory Gardens in Bourbon County. The family has been visiting the grave they thought was hers, but friends found another marker for Myers, four plots away.

The station left telephone messages for cemetery officials, but they were not returned.

Karla Myers said the family wants DNA testing done to prove the body at the first marker is that of her sister.
