Dispatch recordings detail governor questioning noise complaint while at Santa Fe hotel

Authorities have released dispatch tapes from a noise complaint that led police to New Mexico Gov. Susana Martinez's hotel room, in which the governor can be heard telling dispatchers there was no need to send officers.

The audio recordings of the governor's discussion with Santa Fe County dispatchers were released Friday. They were obtained by the Santa Fe New Mexican (http://bit.ly/1IZ1014 ).

Police were called to the room on Sunday after the hotel's front desk reported a complaint about noise and someone throwing bottles off the balcony.

The governor said she was in the room with her disabled sister and six others, eating pizza. She said whomever had been making noise had been there several hours before and there was no need for police.

The governor also demanded to know who made the complaint.

The governor's spokesman did not immediately comment.
