Correction: Navy Kickbacks story

In an April 26 story about a federal indictment of civilian Navy engineer Ralph M. Mariano in an alleged bribery and fraud plot, The Associated Press erroneously reported one of the accusations against him by omitting the word "not."

Mariano is accused of threatening to damage a company's relationship with the Navy if it did not follow his instructions for making payments to other firms. He is not accused of making the threats if it did follow his instructions.
