Bound, burned body found near Massachusetts railroad tracks

A prosecutor says a woman's body has been found bound and burned near railroad tracks in Massachusetts.

Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy Cruz said Wednesday that the remains were found just before midnight on Tuesday near train tracks in Bridgewater, which is about 25 miles south of Boston.

He says the unidentified woman was found with her hands tied behind her back and to her feet. Police discovered the body down an embankment in a relatively secluded area after responding to a call of a suspicious vehicle.

Cruz says investigators believe the body was burned at the scene but the killing likely happened elsewhere.
