Authorities working to extradite suspect in triple slaying

Published April 09, 2016

Associated Press

A Montana sheriff says authorities are working to extradite a man from Washington state who is accused of killing three people.

Carbon County Sheriff Josh McQuillan said Saturday that the sheriff's office is working with the coroner on identifications.

Robert James LeCou faces three counts of deliberate homicide in the shooting deaths of two women and one man, whose bodies were discovered in a home in Belfry, just north of the Wyoming border.

The bodies were found Thursday morning after a neighbor requested a welfare check of the home.

Neighbors named two of the victims as Sharon Hill and Lloyd Lamb, a couple in their 70s. They said LeCou was married to Hill's sister.

It was not immediately clear whether LeCou had an attorney.
