Associated Press

An early morning house fire has killed four people, including an infant and toddler, in the southern Colorado city of Pueblo.

Pueblo police Sgt. Steve Etienne (EH'-tee-en) says the fire was reported at about 2 a.m. Tuesday in a residential area in east Pueblo. He says flames were seen and smoke was pouring from the home when firefighters arrived. Etienne says no one escaped.

Fire Chief Chris Riley says the fire appears to have resulted accidentally from smoking and the use of medical oxygen.

Pueblo County Coroner James Kramer identified the people killed in the blaze as 62-year-old Harvey Montoya, 26-year-old April Hon, and Hon's young children, Frankie Anaya and Michael Hon-Montoya.

Fire department spokesman Woody Percival says a dog also died.
