Police say an east Alabama teenager who's been missing since earlier this month has been found.

Tallassee Assistant Police chief Ken Smith says 14-year-old Kiara Neal of Tallassee was found safe around 1:20 on Wednesday in Brewton. She was last seen March 9 when video showed her getting into a vehicle at Tallassee High School with 30-year-old Willie Thomas.

Thomas has been charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

She was spotted at a Walmart store in Montgomery the same day, and there are unconfirmed sightings in the capital and Panama City, Florida. Neal has run away before to meet men she's met online, but police say she's never been gone so long.

Smith says a citizen recognized Neal through an amber alert and called police.
