Published October 27, 2016

Associated Press

Officials say a person who was injured in the shooting at a rail car factory in Virginia remains hospitalized.

Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital said in a statement Thursday that one of the two remaining patients from Tuesday's shooting at the FreightCar America facility has been discharged. The hospital says the remaining patient is in serious condition.

Police identified the three injured employees as Keith Law of Rocky Mount; Gary Koran of Roanoke; and Travis Valderrama of Catawba.

Valderrama told local news media outlets that he was released from the hospital Tuesday after a bullet grazed his chest. The hospital won't say which of the other injured people has also been discharged.

Police say Getachew Fekede opened fire at the facility before killing himself. Daniel Brown of Montvale was killed.
