An Indiana woman is being charged with bigamy after getting married before finalizing divorce proceedings with two other men, the Indystar.com reports.

April Carter, 22, allegedly told investigators she believed she had successfully completed the proceedings to end her marriages to Ryan Mendoza and Brian Clendenning before she married Brandon Carter, the report said.
A bigamy misdemeanor conviction carries a penalty of up to one year in prison and up to a $5,000 fine; as a felony, it carries a penalty of up to three years in prison and up to a $10,000 fine.
A pre-trial hearing was slated for Aug. 6.
