A small skydiving plane crashed (search) after its wings hit the top of a tree, killing a 47-year-old woman and injuring three other people, authorities said.

The Cessna 180 plane crashed around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday in western Pennsylvania, about 20 miles northwest of Pittsburgh, said New Sewickley Police Chief John Daley.

The pilot, Emil Kindelberger, 80, who runs the Beaver Valley Skydivers Club, was in critical condition late Wednesday at UMPC Presbyterian hospital in Pittsburgh.

The conditions of the other passengers were not immediately available.
