Officer Shot; Wanted Man Barricades Himself in Washington Home

A standoff was under way in Vancouver, Wash., where a police officer was shot and a man had barricaded himself inside a home.

Police said officers on Wednesday morning went to the home where a man was wanted for investigation of drug and firearm offenses.

A woman was seen exiting the home, but investigators said they believe another man was being held inside. A SWAT team and hostage negotiators were called to the scene.

There were no details on the condition of the injured officer.
