Guard Fatally Shoots Ex-Girlfriend, Self at Pennsylvania Weapons Plant

Authorities say a security guard at a Lockheed Martin plant that makes laser-guided bombs fatally shot his ex-girlfriend, then killed himself.

Officials say 59-year-old George Zadolnny shot and killed Deborah Bachak at the plant in Archbald, Pennsylvania, before committing suicide Tuesday morning.

No one else was injured. The plant was evacuated and workers were sent home for the day.

State police says the 46-year-old Bachak broke off the relationship several weeks ago. She was an employee at the plant.

Lockheed says Zadolnny was "trained and authorized" to carry a gun as part of his duties.
