Ford Announces Management Changes in Turnaround Attempt

Published January 13, 2015

Reuters

Ford Motor Co. (F) on Thursday announced more management changes as it tries to turn around its North American automotive operations.

The No. 2 U.S. automaker named Anne Stevens (search) as chief operating officer of its Americas division. Stevens was previously group vice president of Ford's operations in Canada, Mexico and South America.

The shake-up is the latest in a series of management changes at the automaker, which is struggling to stem losses in its North American business. In the second quarter, the division swung to a pretax loss of $1.21 billion, including charges.

Stevens — one of the highest ranking women in the automotive industry — will report to Mark Fields (search), president of the Americas business.
