From jailbird to bailbird, O.J Simpson was given the star-studded treatment Wednesday as he soared from Sin City.
The former footballer dished out $125,000 Wednesday morning to depart the dungeon and boarded US Airways flight #888 on coach class from Las Vegas to Fort Lauderdale, departing at 4:10 p.m. EDT.
However, Simpson’s wait at the airport became a fan festivity to rival his football days.
“Heaps of people turned out to shake his hand and pat him on the back like a hero,” said our spy. “O.J. looked to be really enjoying the moment. He was smiling and laughing."
And even though the smug star wasn’t flying first-class, he had one cop in tow to stop anyone from taking pics.
But it seems even strangers can benefit from the Simpson saga. According to our source, one passenger who was ticketed behind O.J was offered $10,000 from the paparazzi for her special seat — but she politely declined.
