Dear Friends of "FOX & Friends,"
Hope you had a great weekend and are ready for an action-packed week!
We had a bit of giddiness on our set this morning, because parked just outside our windows (and clearly visible to viewers) is a string of movie trucks filled with cameras and catering and real life movie stars. They're filming a new movie with Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore.
We actually saw Hugh film a scene live in front of the building next door, as we watched with one of our exterior cameras. Of course when the movie comes out I'm sure it will look so "movie-like," but watching him walk and talk with Drew, it just looked like two people… walking and talking. Let me amend that, it looked like two multi-millionaires walking and talking.
Always looking for an exclusive, we dispatched a steady parade of our interns out to the movie set where they knocked on random doors asking if, "Hugh could come and say hello on our show?" Nobody slammed any doors in their faces and that's a good thing because if you're going to be an intern who's spending their summer getting up at 4 a.m. to work on a morning show while all of your college buddies sleep late... the last thing you need is to have some assistant to an assistant to the head assistant slam the door in their kissers.
By the end of the show Mr. Grant was still inside an adjacent skyscraper filming a scene, so he did not make it over to our show in time. However they'll be back tomorrow and we'll pester him again. You know the expression: "If at first you don't succeed... send out more interns."
Have a great day and we'll see you in the morning!
Steve Doocy
