Barbara Streisand has confirmed that she won't be taking part in Israel's 60th anniversary celebration next month in Jerusalem.
A publicist says Streisand has pulled out of the event because of "personal obligations."
The publicist says Streisand has always been a "devoted supporter of Israel," and that she is "saddened" that she can't be there to mark the occasion.
Streisand was one of the big-name guests slated to appear at a Jerusalem convention hosted by Israeli President Shimon Peres beginning May 13.
The actress and singer was supposed to perform a rendition of a Hebrew prayer Avinu Malkeinu, or "Our Father Our King."
Her publicist says her health is fine.
