Authorities: Fla. Mom Gave 14-Year-Old Daughter Marijuana

Authorities say a Tampa woman let her 14-year-old daughter use marijuana and a bong during a weekend visit.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office reports that the teen seemed impaired when she returned to her father's home Sept. 14. Her father took her to the hospital for a drug test, and she tested positive for marijuana.

Deputies say 35-year-old Delta Renee Tanner later acknowledged giving her daughter marijuana and the bong to use.

Tanner was arrested Friday and charged with child neglect, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

She was released from jail on $3,000 bail. Jail records did not list an attorney.
