Zeroes across: Rashard Lewis' Game 3 stat line one of Heat coach Erik Spoelstra's favorites

Published February 05, 2015

Associated Press

Heat coach Erik Spoelstra calls Rashard Lewis' latest performance "basically, one of my favorite stat lines of all time."

The box score from Game 3 of the Eastern Conference finals says Lewis did basically nothing in his 17 minutes of action Saturday. Lewis had no points, no rebounds, no assists and no steals in Miami's 99-87 win over Indiana — and the Heat outscored the Pacers by 21 points when the veteran forward was in the game, mainly as a defender.

According to STATS, since plus-minus started being charted, no one ever was better than a plus-10 in an NBA playoff game without generating any points, rebounds, assists or steals.

Game 4 is Monday night, with the Heat holding a 2-1 lead in the series.
