Seattle, WA (SportsNetwork.com) - The New York Yankees acquired pitcher David Huff from the San Francisco Giants in exchange for cash considerations on Wednesday.

Huff finished the 2013 season with the Yankees after being claimed off waivers by the club from the Cleveland Indians on May 25.

The 29-year-old left-hander went 3-1 with a 4.67 earned run average over 11 appearances, including two starts, with the Yankees before being traded to the Giants on Jan. 24 in exchange for cash considerations.

Over 16 relief appearances with the Giants this season, Huff posted a 1-0 record and a 6.30 ERA.

Huff owns a 22-27 career record and a 5.38 ERA over 85 games, including 54 starts, with the Indians, Yankees and Giants.

The Yankees designated pitcher Wade LeBlanc for assignment to make room on the roster. LeBlanc was claimed off waivers by New York on June 3 and gave up two runs in one inning during his only appearance with the club.
