NEW YORK (Reuters) - Tiger Woods will return to Melbourne to defend his Australian Masters championship in November, he said on Tuesday.
"The Australian galleries made last year's event a great experience for all the players and I look forward to playing at The Victoria Golf Club," Woods said in a statement on his website (http://web.tigerwoods.com).
The tournament runs November 11-14.
Woods' next competition is the U.S. Open, which starts on June 17 at Pebble Beach.
The world number one has played just four tournaments since taking nearly five months off following revelations of his marital infidelity.
