Palm Beach Gardens, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - Tiger Woods fired a 5-under-65 Saturday to move into contention of the Honda Classic.
Woods, who just made Friday's cut line on the number at even par, finished three rounds at 5-under-par 205 and currently sits six shots behind overnight leader Rory McIlroy.
Woods opened his day with a 16-foot birdie putt at the first, but later gave that shot back with a 2-putt bogey at the fourth.
He moved back to into red numbers with a 37-foot birdie putt at the fifth and reach 2-under with another lengthy birdie putt at the seventh.
After falling back to 1-under with a bogey at the ninth, Woods birdied the 10th from eight feet before holing his third shot at the par-4 from just off the green to reach 3-under.
He added another set of birdies at the 14th and 15th to move to 5-under and parred his final three holes to remain there.
