Washington, DC (SportsNetwork.com) - The Washington Wizards announced Wednesday that shooting guard Bradley Beal has been diagnosed with a mild stress reaction in his lower right leg and will be sidelined through the upcoming All-Star break.

Beal exited the Wizards' 94-87 loss at Charlotte last Thursday with what was initially described as soreness in his right big toe, with further tests revealing the injury.

The No. 3 overall pick of the 2012 NBA Draft has missed Washington's last two games and will not play in Wednesday's contest at Toronto. The Wizards will not play again until Feb. 20.

Beal is averaging 15.0 points, 3.8 rebounds and 3.0 assists while shooting 43.6 percent from 3-point range through 42 games this season. The 21-year-old missed the first nine games recovering from surgery to repair a fractured left wrist.
