William & Mary defeats Towson 83-68

Julian Boatner scored a career-high 22 points as William & Mary defeated Towson 83-68 Wednesday night.

Boatner, who entered the game with a 3.8-point scoring average, made 6 of 7 from 3-point range. That helped the Tribe (6-12, 2-5 Colonial Athletic Association) take a 41-31 lead at halftime, and they immediately stretched it when the second half began.

William & Mary, which never trailed, scored the first nine points after halftime to make it 50-31. The 83 points and the 55.8-percent shooting (29 of 52) are season highs for the Tribe. William & Mary has followed a seven-game losing streak by winning two straight.

The Tigers (4-13, 0-7), who lost their sixth in a row, were led by Braxton Dupree's 17 points.

Brandon Britt added 16 points for William & Mary, making 3 of 5 from beyond the arc. The Tribe made 14 of 27 from 3-point range.
