The Chicago White Sox have acquired right- hander Ricardo Andres.

The transaction was agreed upon by both clubs, and was contingent upon the Marlins reaching an agreement with Ozzie Guillen, who was named manager of the Marlins on Wednesday.

The 20-year-old Andres went 1-0 with a 6.32 ERA in 12 relief appearances this year for Bristol of the Appalachian League.

Marinez made four appearances out of the bullpen for Florida last season, going 1-1 with a 6.75 ERA. This season, the 23-year-old played for Double-A Jacksonville and went 3-8 with three saves and a 3.57 ERA in 56 games.

The 23-year-old Martinez hit .245 with three homers and 26 RBI in 88 games for Triple-A New Orleans this year.
