Web.com Tour adds event in Cartagena

Ponte Vedra Beach, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - The Web.com Tour announced on Tuesday the addition of the Karibana Championship, which will be added to the tour's 2015 schedule.

The event will be contested in Colombia at the TPC Cartagena at Karibana, which was added to the TPC network and will be the first TPC course in South America.

"The Web.com Tour is extremely excited to bring another event to Colombia and to host it at TPC Cartagena at Karibana," said Bill Calfee, president of the Web.com Tour. "We've had great success in our first five years in Bogota through the Pacific Rubiales Colombia Championship presented by Claro and believe the Karibana Championship in Cartagena will be another terrific event for our players and golf fans in Colombia."

The new event will take place during the early portion of the tour's schedule, when it will also visit Brazil, Chile, Mexico and Panama.
