Weather in question for Saturday night's Chase race at Charlotte

Saturday night's Bank of America 500 at Charlotte Motor Speedway could be delayed by rain, if the weather forecast becomes reality.

According to weather.com, there is a 100 percent chance of rain for Saturday in Concord, North Carolina, where the track is located.

The forecast calls for at least a 50 percent chance of precipitation through 6 p.m. ET.

However, according to hourly projections, the chance of rain drops to 40 percent by 7 p.m. and 25 percent by 9 p.m. when the forecast calls for just cloudy skies.

After 9 p.m., the chance of rain is no greater than 25 percent for the rest of the night.

The green flag is scheduled to wave at 7:21 p.m. ET, and Charlotte Motor Speedway, of course, is equipped with lights.
