PITTSFORD, N.Y. (AP) Wide receiver Sammy Watkins and starting defensive tackles Kyle Williams and Marcell Dareus won't be ready for the Buffalo Bills at the start of training camp.

Dareus was placed on the active/non-football injury list on Friday, a day before Buffalo holds its first practice in suburban Rochester, New York.

Watkins is coming off foot surgery in April and will open camp on the team's active/non-football injury list. Also on placed on the non-football injury list was starting linebacker Manny Lawson.

General manager Doug Whaley says Lawson sustained an upper body injury while working out.

Williams, coming off knee surgery last season, was placed on the active/physically unable to perform list.
