in game five of the National League Division Series at Dodger Stadium on October 20, 2016 in Los Angeles, California.

Kenta Maeda truly has mastered his changeup this offseason -- so much so that the Dodgers right-hander might have a career in espionage once his baseball career is over.

Maeda surprised a group of young players during a recent visit to his native Japan by dressing up in a tremendously creepy costume and taking the field. He began in the outfield before hilariously coming off a bench -- with a cane and a limp -- to take the mound against the youngsters.

And that's when it became clear that this mysterious old man had a few tricks up his sleeve.

It's tough to decide which was better: the kids' reaction to a man peeling off his face, or their outburst upon the final reveal of Maeda in his Dodgers uniform.

Maeda, 28, went 16-11 with a 3.48 ERA and a 9.2 K/9 ratio in 32 starts (175.2 innings) in his first season in the majors in 2016, finishing third in the NL Rookie of the Year voting. His offseason throwing program obviously is already in full swing.
