Dec 1, 2013; Minneapolis, MN, USA; Chicago Bears wide receiver Alshon Jeffery (17) catches a pass against the Minnesota Vikings for an 80 yard touchdown catch in the third quarter at Mall of America Field at H.H.H. Metrodome. Vikings win 23-20 in overtime.

The Bears are benefiting from having WR Alshon Jeffery back in Week 6. Bruce Kluckhohn USA TODAY Sports

The Chicago Bears went without their top wide receiver from Week 2 to Week 5, as Alshon Jeffery nursed a calf injury on the sideline. They welcomed him back for Week 6 against the Detroit Lions.

Jeffery made an explosive return in his first game back since Week 1. Near the end of the first half, Bears quarterback Jay Cutler took a chance and heaved one deep in his direction.

The result was an amazing 45-yard gain.

The Bears lacked a vertical passing game during Jeffery's absence, so Chicago should be happy to see their big, physical receiver adding a much-needed dimension to the offense.
