Watch a 'helpless' Mark Borowiecki fall all over the ice after losing his skate blade

Ottawa Senators defenseman Mark Borowiecki had a rough night on Saturday, though really it was no fault of his own.

Borowiecki's equipment seriously failed him during the Sens' game against the Devils. During the third period, Borowiecki lost one of the detachable blades from his skates, rendering him pretty useless while play continued around him. Credit where credit is due, the defenseman did his darnedest to stay in the action, but it only led to him hilariously (and repeatedly) falling all over the ice.

Even Borowiecki's teammates couldn't help themselves from laughing at his misfortune in the immediate aftermath. He appeared to be very displeased with his bad luck and wasn't in the mood to laugh it off at the time, though he was all smiles after the game in his media scrum.

Somebody get this man some new skates for Christmas.
