Seattle, WA (SportsNetwork.com) - Robert Upshaw, the nation's leading shot- blocker, was dismissed from the Washington Huskies for a violation of team rules, coach Lorenzo Romar announced Monday.

The sophomore center averaged 4.4 blocks in 19 games. He also led Washington with 8.2 rebounds per game and added 10.9 points. In Sunday's loss to nationally ranked Utah, Upshaw had 13 points, nine rebounds and five blocks.

Upshaw was in his first season on the court for the Huskies after sitting out 2013-14 because of NCAA transfer rules. In 2013, he was dismissed from Fresno State's program due to several violations of team rules.
