Oakland, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Golden State Warriors signed forward James Michael McAdoo to a 10-day contract on Monday.

McAdoo, 22, had been playing for the Santa Cruz Warriors of the NBA Developmental League. In 22 games, he was averaging 17.6 points, 9.3 rebounds and 2.6 blocks while shooting 57.4 percent from the field.

The Memphis Grizzlies were reportedly interested in signing McAdoo, but he opted to play for the team that gave him a chance in the Summer League and training camp. He had 20 points and seven boards for the Warriors in a preseason win over the Denver Nuggets.

McAdoo went undrafted in 2014 after a three-year career at the University of North Carolina, where he averaged 11.4 points and 5.9 rebounds per game.
